Lancaster County, located in the central southern part of Pennsylvania, is home to a diverse population of over 500,000 people. Religious groups including the Amish and Mennonites have settled there on rich, agricultural farmlands. They are often referred to as Pennsylvania Dutch but in reality have German roots.
