The iris is a prennial plant that boasts an array of colorful blooms. There are over two hundred species of irises in existence. They are mostly found in temporate climates in North America, Europe, and Asia. In Greek mythology Iris was the goddess of the rainbow. The symbol for the “Fleur de Lys” is actually an artistic rendering of the iris blossom.
I am primarily a landscape photographer. I hope to capture the beauty and grandeur of the natural world. Living on the east coast affords me the opportunity to photograph the ocean and Appalachian Mountain Range. Rural scenes, horses, still life images, and digital creations are also interests of mine. I am passionate about my photography and hope to convey beautiful moods and emotions through my images. I have won over 100 photography awards and some of my images have been published.
